The corn decided the menu

First pick of sweetcorn at six this morning, eaten raw in the row to check. It goes on tonight, which pushes the artichokes back a week. The menu obeys the beds; it has never once been the other way round.

Onions lifted, plot turned

The long bed came up in one morning, four hundred bulbs drying in the glasshouse eaves by lunch. The bare ground is already marked for winter chicories. Nothing in this garden is allowed to just sit there.

On writing menus outdoors

The Monday walk takes an hour with coffee. What is ready argues with what is nearly ready, and the week's ledger is the truce. It is the only meeting this restaurant has.

The entries are fictional. In a real build this page is the restaurant's own voice, written by the people in it.
